Parking & Transportation
Parking at HIMB is very limited on Lilipuna Pier. Visitor parking can be reserved ahead of time through the Director’s office for those on official university business.
Overflow parking is currently located at the Windward Mall in Kāneʻohe (see map), with shuttle van service to Lilipuna Pier. To arrange a pick-up, call the shuttle van at 808-218-2014 once you are at Windward Mall. The shuttle van runs hourly starting at 8:30 a.m. Carpooling is strongly encouraged.
For larger groups, it is best if the driver drops off passengers at the Lilipuna Pier and then parks at Windward Mall to get the shuttle van, as the van only holds 6 passengers.
The shuttle is a white minivan with a green University of Hawaiʻi decal on the doors. The ride from Windward Mall is about 5 minutes. The shuttle van will drop you off at the end of Lilipuna Pier, where a small shuttle boat will pick you up for a one-minute ride to the island.
